A few details help us help you
- Your computer and operating system, such as Windows 11 or macOS.
- The app version shown in Settings.
- What you were trying to do and what happened instead.
- The wording of any error message, with personal details removed.
Please don’t send passwords, API keys or private recordings. If you include a screenshot, hide personal information first.
Before your first dictation
Check that your microphone works, microphone access is allowed, and your OpenAI API account has credit. Keep the destination text field selected, hold the assigned key, wait for “Listening”, then speak and release.
If words don’t appear automatically, try pasting the transcript manually. Check the shortcut in Settings if Right Alt is used by your keyboard layout.

Let us know which computer you use and what you’d like to write. The current prototype requires your own OpenAI API key and separately billed usage. Existing test builds may still show the previous name, SayAndWrite.com.
